Mane Acquires Citrus Oil Specialist Cvista

French flavor and fragrance manufacturer Mane has acquired Cvista, a U.S.-based supplier of citrus oil fractions and natural essences headquartered in Riverview, Florida. Mane will establish a global citrus and beverage center at the Florida location.

Cvista specializes in citrus oil processing and producing high-value natural ingredients, particularly for the flavor and fragrance industry. The acquisition will strengthen Mane’s position in citrus, a key area for flavors and beverages, by combining the two companies’ capabilities to accelerate citrus and beverage development and support sustainable growth.

Cvista’s team will join Mane, bringing their knowledge and experience.

The U.S.-based center will bring Mane closer to citrus sourcing regions, accelerate beverage development, and establish a dedicated global citrus platform. The center also creates opportunities to build on Mane’s recent partnership with Arzeda to produce and commercialize ViaLeaf Reb M technology, well-suited for functional and reduced sugar beverages.

Cvista operates across the entire citrus value chain, from sourcing raw materials to fractionating flavor compounds.

The company can purify trace compounds and is able to isolate and valorize molecules present in very small quantities, such as valencene, decanal, and nootkatone, which are key to creating distinctive flavor profiles.

Its industrial operations include distillation, extraction, resin-based processing, and molecular distillation. The company is able to quickly source raw materials worldwide.

Today, the company serves approximately 130 customers worldwide, supplying specialized flavor and fragrance products.

The Cvista campus comprises several integrated facilities, including research and development, pilot-scale, production and warehousing operations, all designed to deliver efficiency, flexibility and quality.

The campus features a highly automated manufacturing platform that enables continuous production of high-purity citrus ingredients, supported by advanced analytical laboratories for quality control and the development of new citrus fractions.
